It’s that time again… Phone calls, mailings, and the dreaded TV ads. Yep, election time. Bleh. I have gotten 3 or 4 ads in the mail every day for the last week, and I can’t wait for the first week of November to be over. LEAVE ME ALONE. What gets to me about the political ads is not the amount of mailings that I file in the recycling bin. It’s something even more annoying. Continue reading »

Munkie Versus “New” Twitter

The other night I opened Twitter and found that I had been “invited” to use what has been “tagged” as #newtwitter. For those who haven’t used Twitter, adding a # (hashtag)  in front of any word makes it “linkable.” Clicking on any word tagged with a # in front of it will bring you to the latest mentions of it. Some examples of popular “tags” are: #fail #bethankful #happy #justinbieber (You guys knew I’d throw that in there) — On with what I am really writing about. Our Greatest Gift

I think we can all agree that the only thing that separates us from our pets is choice. They’re given a home, given food and even given a mate (or they procreate with whatever crosses their path.)  We, on the other hand, can choose with whom we mate, what we want to eat for dinner and even if we want to live in the city or the suburbs. SO, why do we always act like we’re stuck and have no choices? Everything we are today is due to a culmination of the choices we made. Continue reading »

Why is the Munkie on Twitter?

Everyone who knows me, knows I have Twitter accounts. Yes, multiple. For several different “kinds” of posts. Some have dubbed me, “The Twitter Queen.” Pretty much everything I think goes on Twitter. That’s the point of it, right? Well, with opening my @MunkieBabble account to the public, I have invited nearly 10,000 random people to read all about what I call, “My Life.” I will explain in more detail why I use Twitter.
