Step Away from the Facebook…

February 10th, 2015

1423609100540My day generally begins with me waking up at 5:30am. However, I don’t find my way out of bed until 6:30am, simply because I am busy scrolling through my Facebook feed. I [need] to know what happened while I was asleep. I read Facebook in the morning like one would read a newspaper. I usually roll over, shut off the alarm, and start to read what’s going on in the lives of my friends and family. Then I check in again while I wait for my bagel, coffee, or whatever else may cause me to have a moment to do nothing on my way to work. While I wait, I look at Facebook. I might miss something that someone did, has an opinion about, saw, or found online. (Some of those videos are so far beyond adorable!)

I’ll Be There For You

November 10th, 2011

I once heard a story about a girl who felt invisible to the world, and cleaned out her locker one day with plans to go home and commit suicide. Who supports you in any and everything you decide to do, whether it’s possible, or just a dream? Who is there? Who tells you like it is, gives you their honest opinion, whether or not you’re going to like it? If you could list 5 people you trust with different parts of your life, who would they be? What’s with all the questions?! … Hold it. I always have a point… and usually a story to go with it. This time, it’s more of a challenge. Continue reading »

Inside My Heart

April 26th, 2011

If I had a dollar for every time I’ve been told I am too nice, I’d have enough money to take that trip to Australia that I’ve always wanted. However, we aren’t given money every time something is said to us, and that’s unfortunate… But then we would be lazy, and that’s never good. I am willing to share with you the exact reasons I give / forgive / care too much… Continue reading »
